Does anyone have "United States Half Cents 1793-1857" by Bowers?

Does anyone have this book? I heard that the Manley book is the one to get, but I am not sure about this one. Any comments would be appreciated.

  • I don't have, I read it years ago and I would say if you are seriously interested in half cents I woud recommend either the Manley book or the Breen half cent book. Third choice would be the Cohen book Little Half Sisters. Bowers would be a distant fourth choice followed by Gilbert.

I have Breen, Cohen, and Gilbert. I need to pick up Manley. I don't plan on getting my own copy of Bowers.

    I have Breen's.

  • I am with Conder101 on this one; I use Breen for varieties and Manley for die states. I would like to have a copy of Bowers, however. Are they available?
