question

I sent out two cards last Saturday and both parties have not received them yet. The values are small, $10 and $20 but it bugs me that they have not received the cards. If they don't arrive, would you give the people back their money even though they did not pay for insurance or risk taking two negatives (I have none as of now and I have been on ebay for 8 years.) Any one else experiencing slow shipping this week?

I would wait a while. Sometimes these things take some time. Since both haven't gotten ther, I think maybe that mail bin got misplaced at the PO and they will get around to it soon. You are kind of in a no win situation because if you refund their money and then they get the card, you may not get the $ or card back. If you ask them to wait and they finally get the card, you may get hit with a neg any way because it took so long. I would wait for a while and if still nothing, I would refund the $.

  • We are getting into the holiday season, so first class mail taking more than a week isn't outside the realm of possiblity. Next time use Delivery Confirmation. This is required if you accept Paypal; otherwise disputes will go against you every time.
  • Refund the money if they don't arrive in the next week. Two negatives in a row could potentially ruin your reputation.
  • Hi,
Have the cards arrived yet? Maybe in the future you can add tracking, its about 60 cents & many buyers i sell to dont want insurance. You shouldn't be penalized ( neg feedback )once it leaves your hands.

  • phreakydancin is right, use delivery confirmation on anything that you don't want to refund.
Running an Ebay store sure takes a lot more time than a person would think!

All have gotten cards except one, who happens to have 0 feedback. It's a $10 card so if I refund it won't break me. The other three received cards on Monday or Tuesday.
