Can anyone shed any light on this medal?

I know this is not totally darkside, but the medal is dark, so I might skate by on a technicality....it looks like a baseball medal, stamped 1911, but the P.P.G.A. has me baffled, and Google has not been any help

I don't know, but "The Sunday World" sounds like a newspaper.
