Thanks to all at the PCGS message board

Thanks to Mark Feld, Darin (BigD5) and another board member who helped me to liquidate my collection so efficiently. I'm heading back to music school and will devote my energies there. I took a loss but learned the hard way (again) not to expect to make money on coins-certainly not on risky eBay purchases. For me, it was a manic impulsive activity-just like playing the lottery and sitting in front of a slot machine. At least this "addiction" provided some enjoyment and wasn't a complete financial loss. I got to meet some nice folks, too.
By the way, I did purchase that $7000 bass clarinet.
My last coin is a 1854 $3 VF35 from Heritage. It arrived after the Bay State show I also have some rare vatican proof gold with the likeness of Pope John Paul II. They're for "keeps."
I'll be signing off for awhile but want to wish you all pleasant holidays and pleasant coin adventures.
Best regards,
Barney

you can check out of coins anytime you like...but can you really leave?

And thanks to Mark and Darin and the other (unnamed) board member for helping him out.
New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.
Maybe you can concentrate on making money writing music and stay away from coins (and the slot machines)
Good Luck!
