Heritage might just be the absolute worst when it comes to shipping lots!

Is it just me, or does anyone else have to call to get their coins when you win a lot. Here it is two weeks after the Dallas auction, I paid the day after I won the lot, and not only have I not received the coin yet... THEY HAVE NOT EVEN SHIPPED IT YET!! I called the other day and asked them to overnight it for today. They said they would. Guess what... no fed ex today. I just hung up the phone with them. Now they're telling me it's hung up in shipping. There's just no excuse for this kind of customer service. This happens nearly every time. Sorry, just need to vent.

I called them the DAY that I won and provided them with my updated CC info. I called again several days later to find out that they had not even "run it thru" and was told it would be done that day.
A couple of days later I get a bill in the mail for the coin so I call and find out that they had finally run my card and that the coin had been shipped THAT day.
The coin finally arrived YESTERDAY via USPS with 4.35 in postage on it for priority (I paid 14 something for shipping). This was because I made certain to state I did not want them using FEDEX for reasons outlined above such as leaving it on the porch.
Their shipping sucks and their methods of entering the payment or whatever they do sure sucks too.
The same day the bill arrived. I hadn't realizesd I was so important they would ship me $700 worth
of merchandise before even billing me.
We've already discussed the problems they have had with placing their stuff on eBay. Wrong pictures,
wrong categories, etc... If I was a consignor I would be PO.

Have you ever not gotten your items, sooner or later?
Everyone cannot get their packages within a week, it's just that simple.
A little patience. This is a hobby and not supposed to cause ulcers!!!
I firmly believe in numismatics as the world's greatest hobby, but recognize that this is a luxury and without collectors, we can all spend/melt our collections/inventories.

There may be some problems, as I can see, but the bottom line is........

of the real world says when they have no excuse for poor customer service? No matter how big they are, and won't hire more help to take care of these matters. Just like some of the big dealers that brag about all the money they make, and all the big coins they buy. They won't hire extra help to
work their tables at shows, or help in the office to answer the phone, emails, shipping etc. They're "BUSY." Heh

They once sent me $200,000 worth without me paying yet. They know they shipped it, I'm not going to Bermuda, and the invoices will tell you what you ow, and what's coming. You have it in writing. Why complain about WHEN you get it. You will.
BTW, their pics are looking darn good to me.
If you REALLY dont like to wait - go to the auction, win your bid, pay, and you can take the coin then and there. Sheeesh.
You act as if it's too much to ask to have your lots sent in a timely manner. It has nothing to do with having too much time on my hand ( which admittedly, sometimes I do
Sheesh, some people really over react around here.
Heritage helped me out of a jam this year that had nothing to do with them whatsoever. Saved me thousands. They did very well for me in 2003 when they auctioned some coins for me. I also like their no-nonsense approach when selling them coins. Sometimes I wish I had gotten a little more money (don't we all) but when adding it at all up.......I'm well ahead and more than happy. I'm not gonna fret when a package gets delayed a bit and it has happened where I bid on 2 different days of a NY sale, and the 2nd set of lots never came.
I did have to call on those. No sweat.

<< <i>MY GOODNESS!!! You guys have to much time on yur hands!!! I have NEVER called them to check. Some come in a month, in a week. If everyone was a little more patient and did NOT call them, then maybe they can spend the time they were alloted TO SHIP AND SERVICE!!! I feel it's like the 80/20 rule with ALL businesses. The BIG clients should be taken care of first, and the rest to follow. If cosignors like Morse are using them, well, they must have a pretty darn good rep.

You must be one of the BIG clients they take care of first.
They say they will ship the lot in three to five days so why does it take them any longer? I don't think the problem is people calling customer service. I thint the problem is with them.
I had some coins I ordered a week later off their website in three days. I thought maybe my other coin was lost in the mail, so I called to see when it shipped.
To each their own if you want to wait for a month so be it. I think if they say ship in three to five days after payment received they should follow their own rules.
