Does anyone know just how the scammers are able to pick out all the high priced auction lots. This seems to occur in many, many eBay catagories, not just coins, so I am sure they have an "automated" way of spotting the auctions and sending false "second chance" offers.

It is easy. Just click on completed auctions and sort by price.

You can email any Ebayer, through their system, as long as you know the ID.
