Sad to see!

Was just looking over on Ebay at Kaline cards. Saw this and just knew it was trimmed, can see borders look straight except for right side, tilts only on that border, what a shame.

    That is a shame. I agree that the card looks like an obvious whack-job. It makes me wonder if I'm too sensitive to it. I mean, it actually bothers me to see these things. Not because of dishonesty, etc, but because the card--a wonderful 50+ year-old HOF rookie card--has been altered. How "bad" could it have been? Assuming the surface is intact, the corners must've had some handling and "honest" wear, but perhaps a card in a presentable collector grade in it's issued state, in a reputable holder, surely would have commaneded the same dollars? Am I way off base here?
    I understand it's not war or life or death, but imagining some worm cutting that Kaline makes me really pissed. Grab some Brittany Spears cards and whack-away (not what I meant), for goodness sake--leave the Kaline's alone!!!
