Weight of Indochina Piastres

I recently purchased a scale to weigh coins, and I just finished weighing 12 Piastres that I purchased as a lot, some years ago.
Dealer was no one I was familiar with, but had been brought to my attention by someone whom I trust.
Anyway, the coins are in circulated condition and weigh anywhere from 26.6 grams (probably the most worn coin) to 27 grams (AU, it appears).
My question is this; how does wear on a silver coin affect its weight? If my understanding is correct, the piastre was meant to weigh 27.215 grams, as struck. Could a piastre in, let's say good condition, weigh 26.6 grams?
A side question. The scale needs a 100 gm weight to calibrate. Where can I get one?

You are welcome and after you get the weight, you may get better readings
So if you have a coin with a weight of 27gms on the reverse and it is worn it is possible. I believe a coin that size IF plated would raise the weight by .5 gms,,,so wear could reduce it that much. Hope this helps
