DEALER CHARGES FOR SUBMISSIONS

Probably a stupid question, but how much does a dealer charge to submit some coins to PCGS for you. Im not a regular customer...Thanks, Mike

I was charged $10.00 for EACH coin as a surcharge. He was so clueless as not to even bother to help me pre-screen my coin. It came back in BB for cleaning. A complete waste of money.

So I joined the collector's club and now I submit myself. Cheaper and if I don't get any service from the dealer (Liberty Coins of Signal Hill), why bother to submit through them?

Only give your coins to a dealer that you really trust. The one time I let a dealer submit my coin, it "disappeared", and I am still in the process of trying to resolve the situation now over six months later. Even better would be to pay the PCGS membership fee and do it yourself, particularly if it is a coin with any significant value. Good luck...Mike

I use my dealer. He was a PCGS grader and PCGS charges him less than what they would charge me. It also saves on shipping as I can include an order with his, so I do not have to pay shipping to PCGS.

  • I use Heritage--they don't charge (that I can see).

Years ago, I submitted via Alhambra Coin in Calif.--they charged and I never have been back!
