Got my Barber Half, Saint and Columbian grades with good and bad news

This was my second submittal to PCGS and here is how I did:

1893 Columbian Half MS64-Was in PCGS MS64. Sure looks like a MS65 to me. This is the 4th time I've submitted the coin.
1893-P Barber Half AU53-was in NGC AU53
1896-O Barber Half cleaned-Was in ANACS AU50 holder and this was my second submittal. I just don't see it. Has nice rim toning.
1897-S Barber Half AU50-was in NGC AU50
1907-O Barber Half AU53-was in NGC XF45 (this coin was sooooo undergraded)
1908-D Barber Half AU50-was in NGC AU50
1910-S Barber Half XF45-was in NGC XF45 This is now a POP 1 coin with nice toning. SWEET and a very tough coin to find.
1913-D Barber Half PVC-was in ANACS AU50 Once again, I just don't see it.
1908-D No Motto Saint MS63-was in a PCGS MS62 Green Holder. Really thought I had a shot at MS64. Not a big money gain but still nice.

I did crack each of these coins out. I wonder how I would have done trying to cross them over in the holders.

I got the Truview pictures and will post when I get them. I'd like the Barber folks to give me their thoughts and the Commem folks as well on the Columbian.

I only picked up one for my Registry Set. Bummer. So, do any of the AU Barber folks want to trade your XF45's for any of my AU's?

Looks like pretty good results Craig. I just cracked out a bunch of NGC and ANACS slabbed Barber dimes and I'm waiting on the results. I have a few XF45's in my Barber half registry set (small as it may be!), but sorry they aren't available.

    Craig,

Overall, not bad results on the barber halves. The upgraded 07-O would probably have crossed at the same grade if submitted in NGC plastic, in my experience.

The ANACS coins are a mixed bag out there. I'm not entirely surprised they were problems, as many folks submit problem coins to ANACS or one of the slab companies not held in high regard by quality-minded people. I do like ANACS (particularly over the brands we do not mention), but in the future you may wish for any ANACS coins to be graded as crossovers in their holders so if they would otherwise bodybag at PCGS you still have them in ANACS plastic. On the other hand, I have cracked out a few ANACS coins myself. Sort of satisfying like cracking a walnut or pecan.

Congrats overall on adding new coins to your registry set.
