Invitation to all Forum members...
This January, EurekaTrading.com will be announcing that it is open to collectors. Membership is now free, there are no listing fees, and there are no transaction fees on sight-seen deals. (Transaction fees apply to some sight-unseen deals and never exceed one percent, but I won't bore you with the details here.)
We are currently working to make the site more collector friendly. In the meantime, anyone that wants to get an early start is welcome to join. When you register, just check the "I am a qualified dealer" box, even if you're a collector. As long as we can verify your identity, you will be quickly approved for membership.
Naturally, we would greatly appreciate any feedback.
Have fun!

If I spent half the time on EurekaTrading(TM) that I do on the PCGS message boards, perhaps I can turn my time spent into a profitable venture.

Since I'm business challenged, tell me why I should use this service instead of the BST board or Ebay.
The only time you pay a fee is when we get you a better price than you expected. For example, if you list a coin for $1000 and we already have another member offering to pay $1200 sight unseen for the first piece that becomes available, you'll get the $1200 and owe Eureka a $12 commission.

You shouldn't stop using the BST and eBay. Those are great places to do certain types of business. But if you want to make standing offers to buy or sell coins, sight-seen or sight-unseen, Eureka's a great place to do it.

How do you guarantee grade/ condition on raw?
Edited to add: I won't ask any more questions here, this probably is not the right forum. I'll sign up and email you any questions.

Just use your name as the "company name".

The big difference is that you can disclose to Eureka's members that you're willing to pay $1000 for a coin, but at the same time tell Eureka that you'll pay as much as $1100 if necessary. Sellers are also able to provide similar instructions. This allows us to match buyers and sellers at the best possible prices, as quickly as possible, rather than forcing them to shop around and haggle with each other.

Fair request but not viable. When you print out a market screen with lots of bids and asks for a single coin, it includes the trader handles. Longer handles would reduce the number of grade columns on a printout, and the tradeoff just isn't worth it. But please keep the comments coming!

We don't. When you do a deal on Eureka, you deal directly with the other member. We never handle the coins or the money, we just stay out of the way and let our members do business.

There are a number of ways to do it.
If you haven't logged in, you can search retail offerings from the home page. Look for the list of coins for sale and click "More Listings". That will take you to a page where you can perform a search. There's a search toolbar towards the top of the page. The first pulldown includes "Category" options, for example "Indian Half Eagles". Once you have made your selections, hit "Go". Play around with it, it's pretty easy to use.
If you HAVE logged in, you can search wholesale prices, including sight seen and sight unseen. One of the ways to do that is to go to the "TRADING" section of the site. (You can find the TRADING section via one of the four tabs at the top of every page.) Once there, you can either click "Search Orders" in the middle of the page, or click the "Market" tab on the left side of the page. The rest should be easy, I think.

You can offer anything at all in the Bulletin Boards, which are free form ads like in the BST here.
On the other hand, our market screens and searchable price lists are for certified coins only.

Michael - So far, the BST here definitely gets more attention than Eureka's boards. I have high hopes that that situation will reverse in the near future.

Eureka's not a middle man.
On the other hand, I also deal on Eureka just like any other member, and sometimes I'm able to connect buyers and sellers that otherwise have trouble dealing with each other. But that's a long story for another day...
