    Going to the MSU - Penn State game, think they are trying to make that one a year end rivalry. But I do not know who I hate more UM or Ohio State.

    Goose, I think most of us assumed that and were just kidding with the other comments (except Army - Navy, that was THE game, especially during the WW 2 era).

    But there are certainly some other Major rivalries but I don't think that any of them despise each other more than OSU and UM.

    Sorry goose, that is primarily a Michigan...OSU thing. Even it the Midwest its not a biggie. However I always look forward to watching the game, its a fun one to get into.

    I liked the Bo Schembechler / Woody Hayes days -- now there was some hatred. The best story I recall is that Woody Hayes was close to running out of gas while traveling in Michigan on a recruiting trip, because he refused to fill up until he crossed the state line!!

    Of course my most vivid memory of Woody was the end of the 1978 Gator Bowl, which I saw live. Ended a very distinguished career in two seconds.

    Has always been the game I look forward to every season. Should hopefully be a good game, but would prefer Michigan just kick their a$$. Blue has been tough with Hart in the lineup and he is coming back today. Henne is generally the key to Michigans success though. If he struggles, they are in deep sh*tolla.


    Anywho, GO MEEEESHIGAN.

    the ohio state / michigan game draws the the largest tv viewing audience almost every year (regular season game) according to the neilson ratings !!

    so the statement that "no one outside ohio or michigan cares" cannot be true.

    i do believe though, you do not care.

    Wow, someone sounds bitter. Using your general responses as a model, "Are you jealous because both teams are better than yours?"

    FSU is truly the team that sucks, being they lose to unrated junk teams.

    If OSU and Michigan suck......then FSU must SWALLOW.

    EITHER TEAM COULD KICK THE LIVING CRAP OUT OF FSU.



    Great game so far but OSU's turnovers are the only thing keeping UM in the game

    You know, I'd like to refer to skippy as a tool but tools are typically useful and he does not qualify... ACC had traditionally been a basketball conference because they have lousy football teams. They finally had to recruit a couple decent teams, and now that they have it appears FSU is nothing more than a slightly above average ACC team. Further, they lost to three unrated losers... period. Skippy, you may think that trying to talk smack is cool or something, but it just makes you look stupid so you should reconsider doing it. But if you are going to continue to do so, at least do it with style and substance as opposed to the ol' " My team can beat anybody (except for three lousy teams in their own conference).


    I am slightly disappointed about the outcome, but it was a good game and Michigan was ultimately really going nowhere at the end of the season anyways. Sure, they could have possibly won the Big 10 and gotten a nice bowl bid if circumstances played out, but I truly believe Penn State would serve as a much better representative than either Michigan or Ohio State being they only have one loss and are rated quite high. Michigan will likely be a solid team next year, as will OSU and hopefully they will be playing for an undefeated season. I still have my Wings and Pistons to cheer for, so since my Lions suck the wanker I'll have to be patient for a big football game (although I do have Super Bowl tickets through my wifes work image ).

    I was thinking the same thing! I was watching JoPa win and OSU drive that last length of the field, and all I could think of was "If Bobby Bowden coached in a real conference like the Big Ten, wonder how far behind JoPa he would be in the "total wins" catagory?"

    I know that there is NO way he would be the winningest coach, ahead of Paterno. In fact I bet he would have not even stayed with one school that long. After a few disapointing years he would have been fired and moved on to some other school who would do the same thing again in a few years.

    Michigan-OSU is definitely the largest, but for only one person to mention Alabama-Auburn is ridiculous. You guys don't know jack about college football.

    So true! Sad thing is, they can't even look forward to basketball season like those ACC bottom feeders can. image
