I dont know how that works... say I bought a coin from someone and they never sent it to me... and I paid via paypal and tool the extra insurance... would I get my $ back?

PayPal buyer protection is free to the buyer. When you pay with PayPal AND purchase postal insurance from a seller, you are essentially protecting yourself (with PayPal) and the seller (with the postal insurance). Unless required, I avoid paying for insurance if a seller offers it and prefer to let PayPal buyer protection be my insurance. I have used PayPal satisfactorily for a few years. While not speedy, they do achieve appropriate resolutions.
