submission dilimma

I am a huge Favre collector and I was thinking of submitting a large (for me)(200-400 cards) submission under the monthly special of $5/per. I also am a Yount collector and thought about sending some of them as well. Then last night I thought maybe some HOF rookies or potential HOF rookies, so I went through my topps football, basketball and baseball sets from the 70's - 80's. While doing that I noticed that some of those sets particularly the BKB are in great (gradable) shape.

So whats the dilimma you ask...well what to submitt. Just stick with Favre so I can pull into #1 again, add some Younts to move up in that set, start some HOF Rc's sets? I was wondering how often are cards post 1991 offered as a special. I have seen many lately pre-1992. Or am I better off with a smaller submission now of RC's, select Favre and YOunts, to keep the price lower as you only save a $1 per card.

Would love to hear your thoughts, soon. As I plan on attending the Show in Chicago Friday night and plan to drop my submission off at the PSA booth.

Thanks,
Jay

  • I bet that if your submission is over 400 cards, PSA might actually give you a deal (maybe $4 or $4.50 a card) if you asked. I would see what the maximum amount of cards you would submit amounts to and ask customer service if they would give you a deal on a +500 card submission.
