OT - My daughter had open heart surgery today.

Many of you guys know about my recent
adoption and were very supportive
so I wanted to update you all on her progress
and today's surgery.

    Best wishes. This kind of event puts everything else in life in it's proper perspective. I too have a daughter with health issues. I will add your daughter to my prayers.
    Proud of my 16x20 autographed and framed collection - all signed in person. Not big on modern - I'm stuck in the past!

    Hope everything turns out well. I have a neice that had to have surgery at a young age also, and praise the lord everything worked out great and she is now 21....

    UPDATE

    Things are going great!

    She just got out of ICU this morning
    and they are already saying that they
    will most likely discharge her tomorrow
    around lunchtime.

    Amazing isn't it? I mean they let women
    who have a c-section stay in the hospital
    longer than that!

    Hello Jeff,

    That's great news that your daughter is doing so well. I am 33 and was born with congenital heart disease. I only have 1 ventricle. I have had open heart surgery about 3 times. I also have had a pacemaker put in and changed out about 3 times. Needless to say, I have spent a lot of time in hospitals and Dr's offices.

    I read through this email and had tears in my eyes when I saw the picture of your daughter before the EKG. That's awesome that she is doing so well.
