How does one become a Financial Backer in a coin firm?
In a previous post, I asked about how coin firms finance their purchases when they make large purchases at a particular auction. For example, at the recent Morse auction, Pinnacle wrote in its market report that their bank account took a "serious hit". Also, Legend's market report indicated that Laura was "pulling cash out of her brassiere all night long" to pay for all of the purchases they were making.
Some people responded that some firms (and I have no clue as to Pinnacle's or Legend's status) have short term financial backers that provide funds to cover short term cash needs. I assume those financial backers are individuals. Does anyone know how someone becomes one of these "financial backers"? For example, say someone had a few million dollars they were looking to invest on a short term basis, how would you go about developing a financing relationship with a coin firm? Does anyone know what type of terms are negotiated?
