My 2nd Submission - Results from ANACS - Morgan and Peace dollars

Just got the results from my second submission. Sent in some discovery coins, some TOP 100/HOT 50 coins, a few 1878-S Morgans, and a couple of others.

I'm happy with most of the results. Glad to get the 1883-O VAM-22A certified (clashed E and O). I heard the population was low on this VAM. A few coins graded higher than I guessed, but I thought one of the 78-S dollars had a shot at MS65. Also had one 1925 Peace dollar that they didn't attribute. I had it listed as an early die state of the VAM 14. They didn't agree. The coin was posted in this thread.

That is very impressive! ANACS is a bear to get an MS65 from a raw cherrypick. The luster
has to be original and undisturbed is one factor.

Check the shipping notes on the 1925 coin. Sometimes they drop a hint in there. Or call John Roberts, he sometimes will take your call at ANACS to discuss a vam.

I've been hearing alot of good things about ANACS lately - I think that company is on it's way up.

nesvt---Do you think ANACS did a good job grading your coins? Do you agree with the grades you got?

Worry is the interest you pay on a debt you may not owe.

    Thanks folks.

Is that a slam against my $10 antique mall finds? image I checked the shipping notes regarding the 1925-P. It just shows "Coin is not the requested variety.".

I'm sure they did better than I could have done. I'm still on a steep learning curve. I didn't bother to post my guesses because I was off on more than half. I'll add them below in {brackets}. Some were higher, some lower, everything balanced out.

I didn't think any of the 1878-S Morgans were lower than MS63. Thought I had a set of MS63, 64, 65 1878-S VAM 23's. Instead I have MS62, 63, and 64. Maybe I shouldn't have submitted so many of the same VAM in different conditions.

Don't know how that 1904-O made mint state.
