I don't expect this to be a mindbender....but quick. Who was the first DH to make a plate appearance????

Len Boehmer had the short stint at first after Mantle logged off. John Ellis played some games there as well, amongst others, prior to Bloomberg. When Bloomberg went to DH, Felipe Alou was the first baseman of record. History is fun! Regards....
