Pre Mid 70's Cameos vs Post Mid 70's Cameos

Who else here thinks that pre Mid 70's Cameos are just "cooler"? They really do look like the devices have "frost" on them. Modern Cameos (even the silver ones) just don't have that effect.
Philately will get you nowhere....

    It seems to me that post-mid-70s cameos are more coarsely textured -- almost sandblasted' -- while earlier cameos have a finer frosted look. I too like the earlier look!

    In my opinion, its the striking depth that makes the difference.
