I bought this ..ended 10/9

Went on vacation. Sent email that Could I please send a check after we returned, gone from 10/14-10/24. said sure no problem. Went on vacation. Hurricane the next day 10/25. no mail no phones...I was sent to atlanta to work. I emailed him from Atlanta..Offered to pay w/paypal, said no, only check or money order. Came home on 10/31. power on 11/2..sent check..receved email check was received and shipped out. no item yet from N C. ...Holiday (vets day)..thought maybe Monday..no mail today. left voice mail. check has been cashed a week now. He waited for me and I will gladly wait for him if needed but he said it was shipped and no communication if there is a problem..sent email to please help, said did not want to involve ebay.

Ok tired of sounding like Tarzan.

I haven't looked at the auction link, but if I understand correctly you only mailed payment on November 2. This would likely mean that the seller didn't receive it until November 7 or so and if the lot were mailed immediately it may have gone out on November 8. Since then you have had a weekend and a Federal holiday. It seems you may be a bit impatient on this one.

"Checks been cashed a week"...........Ebay guidelines say to give him 2 weeks................"It was mailed".........he doesn't control the post office...I say give him another week, then take it up with him.

Give him another week or so. He may have held the check a while to make sure it cleared.

OK, Thanks. I'll give it another week and then try him again if it doesn't arrive. He did tell me that he was shipping as soon as the check arrived and sent me an email saying it was shipped.
But another week won't hurt anything.

He waited almost a month. Give him at least as long as he gave you. Andy

If you check your feedback you will see that the seller left positive feedback for you on Nov. 9.
I have seen that those sellers that do accept checks will wait up to 14 days for the check to clear (and to be informed of that clearance by their bank).
I think the seller showed a lot of patience and understanding.
If I were you I would wait until the 22nd before doing anything.
You could ask him to send the coin using signature confirmation which at least will allow you to track it.

he did not insure just sent reg mail. Just got off the phone with him said he will check to see when he shipped. i told him if it shows up in the next few days I will call him. he said we will work it out somehow.
