New "Shamu" Peace $ VAM.......

Just got back from Disney with the family and I thought I had enough of the killer whale until I came home and opened this..... She's the latest die state I've held (owned about 20 of them off and on) and is in a PCGS MS-65 holder ready for reholder....

I'm not familiar with Peace VAMs, but what caused this to happen?

After the dies struck millions of coins small parts of them would eventually fall apart (break) and create a void where part of the design should have been. When the dies came down to strike the next planchet, metal would ooze into these voids creating these types of odd marks...... now called VAM's.......

Yes she is..... I just put my 24 5A@4 up and added some pics.... The die break on this one is untouched... what looks to be a mark through the middle of it is not... It's a top pop in a PCGS holder... there's one 66 in a NGC holder that went for $ 1300 I believe......
