Linda Lovelace lived in my trailer park.

  • I once did a medical exam on Brian Trottier

Frank- I can't get that visual out of my mind.image

I grew up in the Bronx too and went to high school with Bobby Bonilla. Really nice kid, very quiet. I was shocked when I saw him ranting and raving on TV when he was with the Mets. Was also friends with and ran track in High School with Alex Ramos, former Middleweight world champion.

Don't forget Chris Mullin who lived in Manhasset for a while (not sure if still there, haven't seen him lately), used to see him jogging a lot. Bll Parcell was there for a a few months before taking the Cowboys job. I've also run into Boomer.

I've lived just blocks from some Mets too. Edgardo Alfonso and Rey Ordonez when they both played for the Mets in 2000 and Walt Terrel back in the 80's.
Love '83 Topps. Looking to put together a PSA 10 set.

Stone - really? Linda was a good roman catholic girl who attended high school at Good Counsel in Ardsley NY. Back then it was all girls (think it's closed now). You and I are about the same age....when did you ever live in a trailer park?? Regards.
Proud of my 16x20 autographed and framed collection - all signed in person. Not big on modern - I'm stuck in the past!

"I am still looking for my Halloween invitation from "Hef" every year.... never arrives"

Hey Julien--got my invite back in 2002, from my friend ThumbsUp;>Michael Piller<ThumbsUp; exec producer for the Star Trek shows. My neck still hurts!!

The guy that played "LURCH" on the Adams Family lived at the end of our block from 1969-71. No sports stars.
  • The closest I've ever come was just this year. I was working with a woman who was the grand-daughter of Rogers Hornsby!

    Cool!!!!!

  • << <i>......... and on my street (Mass Ave) down on the other side of the river in Cambridge, former Boston Red Sox and St. Louis Cardinals pitcher John Tudor has a house. >>

I spent many a night drinking at the SAE house on Mass. Ave. just before the bridge to Cambridge.
  • I drive past Bob Gibson's house every day going to and from work. He lives in a nice big house here in Bellevue about six blocks from me.

Matt Kranchick, a tight end for the Steelers, went to my HS (amazing he made the NFL, seeing as it took my dinky school 31 YEARS to win its first homecoming game), and his sister is a teacher in the same small Catholic school as my mom.

I suppose my grandparents would count to a degree - my grandfather, Lynn Creason, traveled around to several professional PGA events in the '50s (he thought actually becoming a full time touring pro was too much work) and he played with and beat several Tour pros at different venues (though none of them "official" Tour stops). His most noteworthy battle was with future Masters winner Art Wall, who he lost the Pennsylvania State Amateur finals to in 1950 (36 holes plus a two hole playoff).

My grandmother is in the Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame as a golfer (I can't find the website information that lists it- it's broken down into regions, and her region isn't on the main site). If you're interested, check this out:

A site from the USGA that has a picture of my family on it

Go about halfway down and there's an small article about her and her children. My dad is the second child from the left.

Also, my dad and Phil Knight are cousins. My grandfather (Lynn, the golfer) was offered, by Phil, 10% of what became Nike if he would put up venture capital. He laughed and told Phil that he'd never make money selling shoes.
  • Oh yeah.......the guys from Blink 182 went to my high school as well. One of the really cool things is that the girl I am kind of dating right now, her great uncle is Casey Stengel..........she had no idea who he was. She was over at my house one night when he had a little after bar and saw all of my memorabilia and said "I think my great uncle used to own the yankees or something" She then dropped his name and I was like holy sh!t, he didn't own them, but he managed some of the best players to ever play the game.
