Registry Participants Poll for Veiwers Tabulators(Poll)

This past Tuesday I asked David (Home Run) Hall if this could be a possibility for Registry Set Participants. This was the third (3) time that I've asked this question at the QA for an answer and no response. I've posted a Poll on the US Coin Forum atthis LINK. As a registry participant I would like to be able to see how many visitors have viewed my registry set. I don't think that it is unreasonable for me to ask this request. It is done already across the street at NGC. We IMHO are the best set in the US and should have the best site. Photographing these set's is no small feat as it takes considerable amount of time to photo, prepare, and uplink each photo onto the site. In my case this is mostly done on the weekend as I am gone most of the week doing my daily Job of trucking across America delivering goods that you all need in your every day lives. So Please participate in this poll if you will so Mr. Homerun Hall can get an IDEAof how many of you other Registry Owners would like to have the BESTRegistry in the USA. Thanks for your participation. Mikeimageimage

Michael, PCGS is in the process of updating the whole set registry site around the first of the year per a BJ Sears announcement. While it is fun to have polls, I have found that PCGS usually does what THEY feel is best for their business, not necessarily what their customer wants. You may find that the new site will have what you'd like. Why not check with BJ on this directly. Good luck. Steveimage
  • Thanks Steve, I'm just doing this as a follow up to my question that I've asked 3 times on the QA and never received any answer from Mr Hall. Thanks for your input I'll ask BJ Sears after I get the Poll results. Mike.image

I think it's a good idea, but PCGS may be afraid that Registry set participants may be turned-off when the counters show little or no activity.

  • I just hope like hell that they allow us to upload pictures that are more than 100kb on the new site. Good lord. I have all of my coin pics on another site (see sig line below) and on my computer at home...but then I have to resize each of these images to less than 100kb before I upload it to the PCGS registry. I'm sure several members have already requested this and I'm confident that PCGS is going to make the change. image

Why not just put your own counter code in the owner's comment section?

  • Russ, I thought that you were up to your same old waysimage You definitely weren't. Thanks for the idea hadn't even thought of adding my own counter. Just was disgusted with HRH not answering my question on QA and not even having the possibility of doing it on my own. I've took your advice and added this feature to my two main sets my 1909-Present W/Varieties and my One per year date set in Lincolns. For being not to computer knowledgeable, and many tries it's functional. Much Thanks.Mike.imageimage

First you make me feel guilty the you have to drive all over the place to deliver the things I HAVE to have. Then you make me look at your number thirty five wheaty collection so then I feel jealous. Then there is no counter so I feel sorry for you, man you just play with my emotions! All kidding aside nice collection! How long did it take you to put together? I am now number eighty four and cannot wait to get my thirty four coins back from pcgs. I also have to decide what to send for my next batch...also if you buy from ebay and use paypal use this discount code C1-Holiday2005 and save 10% up to $25! Take care, Mark McClary

Edit, nope it didn't show up correctly!

  • Russ, it's working on my end must be a private number readout as I can see how many have visited both sites. Again thanks for the GREAT idea. Mark it's taken me about 6 years to put this set together through many stops at dealers around the country, E-bay winning bids, Heritage auctions, picking up at shows around the country, and a special thanks to a Friend and neighbor a block away who does a lot of picks at shows and submissions himself Brian Jones. I've also went through a lot of rolls picking out a lot of nice pieces for submissions also. This week I picked up 2 Awesome original rolls of 1961-D Lincolns. Tremendous stunners 3 nice pieces with gorgeous Lustre I'm hoping will go at least 66. To top that I also found another D/Horizontal D plus a RPM#3 and 2 RPM#4 plus some other RPMs not sure about. My RPM book doesn't show enough detail to give a good judge of these. These two rolls were absolutely Gem with hardly any webbing or carbon spotting. Hope I get back to this dealer he had 4 more rolls of these I should have picked up also. imageGood luck on your submission Mark. Pass along the results when you get them. Mike
