Jackie Robinson, 1955 tops #50

Hi all, I don't collect cards but was just at a market and saw one of these cards in a baggie within a frame. It looked to be in great shape with no tears or creases but it may have been a bit faded. It looked pretty well centered and the asking price is $250 (probably take a bit less... Is it worth going back to get it (12 min drive).

cheers Rob

pm's and comments welcome as I probably have about an hours window to go back and get it....

I would not take the chance. Unless you know the person selling it well. Too many things could go wrong. for 250.00 you could get a nice graded example.

    Good for you.

I know nothing about coins, and would never buy anything without bringing a coin-guy friend with me.

Based on the way you described this item - I would recommend you bring a "card" friend with you to see if this is a "diamond in the rough" or just trash.

And I agree with winpitcher on the graded side.
