1633 Salzburg Taler (Ch AU/Unc) - Paris Graf v Lodron (DAV-3504) -- Invite Your Comments -- Photos

As promised, here's another update to my previous World Crowns & Talers thread regarding the progress that I have made... So far, I have catalogued and photographed my foreign coin collection, and submitted 33 coins to PCGS on Oct 24th for World Economy Level Service Grading.

Here's the third coin photo post, and the oldest coin in the grouping. This 1633 Salzburg Taler - Paris Graf v Lodron (DAV-3504) appears to be in Choice AU to Mint State condition. It will be interesting to see what PCGS thinks about it.

I'd appreciate any of your comments about the coin, since I am not a learned "Dark Sider"

image Absolutey stunning coin. Looks Unc. to me. Is there a little green in the center of the reverse? or is it just the image?

Ajaan & WildJag: Thanks for your posts and for your kind words about my 1633 Salzburg Taler.

The green that you refer to is an area of either "verdigris" or PVC contamination that I attempted to carefully remove with an acetone bath prior to submitting this coin to PCGS for certification.

We will see how they evaluate her in a few weeks.
