Rose Auto Card Question

First time poster, long time lurker. I noticed that the November special included autographed cards produced by the manufacturer from 98 to the present. After seeing how good some of the cut auto's that some members had slabbed in a PSA holder, I thought I'd submit some of the auto cards I have accumulated. While searching on ebay for a few more, I realized there were no Pete Rose autographed cards produced by the card companies. Does Rose's ban from baseball extend to trading card manufacturers as well? Can anyone expand on this?
Throughout history, poverty is the normal condition of man. Advances which permit this norm to be exceeded — here and there, now and then — are the work of an extremely small minority, frequently despised, often condemned, and almost always opposed by all "right-thinking" people. Whenever this tiny minority is kept from creating, or (as sometimes happens) is driven out of a society, the people then slip back into abject poverty.

This is known as “bad luck.”

That is correct. Since the card companies are licensed by MLB and the MLBPA, they can only include players who are in baseball's good graces. Anyone who has been banned, such as Rose and Joe Jackson, are off limitsimage

    Welcome to the boards.

Interesting you would say that Steve - I know for a fact that there are some Joe Jackson GU bat cards out there, from 2001 Legendary Cuts I believe.

I'm sure Joe Jackson was never part of the MLBPA nor was he ever part of any collective bargaining agreement with either league. That is probably the loophole.
