I just got word from NGC it now lives in an MS 63 Holder It was in an old PCGS 62

i would guess ms61. better pictures would help.

i own 16 half eagles, and i have doubling on one.

so, it must not be very rare if i own one already.

I have option to buy it at $400. I was trying to figure out if it was an upgrade candidate.

In the recent Morse sale, several MS-63 generic Lib QE's sold for around $750. The most recent MS-62 sales of 1903 QE's at Heritage have been for over $400. It seems like the risk:reward favors you sight-unseen. If there is return privilige or you can see the coin before buying it, even better.

Those liberty quarter eagles have become difficult to find in MS-62 or 63

I am looking at getting a PCGS MS-62 and at my last show I went to (100 tables) there was no PCGS or NGC MS-62 coins

Want this to finish my 8 piece type set

At 400 you did pretty well that is for sure
