Player/Team collectors - Need any 1988 Topps?

Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know! 1988 Topps? I know there are some image crazy player and team collectors out there. I bought a case of 1988 sets from a local seller. Anybody want me to keep an eye out for any cards you might need from this set as I go through it?

I collect Vintage Cards, Commemorative Sets, and way too many vintage and modern player collections in Baseball (180 players), Football (175 players), and Basketball (87 players). Also have a Dallas Cowboy team collection.

Am looking for Mike Schmidt 1988 topps cards
I am actively buying MIKE SCHMIDT gem mint baseball cards. Also looking for any 19th century cabinets of Philadephia Nationals. Please PM with additional details.
  • Case is from Beverly Hills.

I'll keep an eye out for the Schmidt. I remember you stating it is a tough card to find. I've opened 4 sets for far and every Schmidt is O/C Top to bottom (small border up top).

  • Beverly Hills??? I am guessing that Matt was quite happy to get rid of a case of anything from the late 80's! lol I hope you got a good deal on it.

He doesn't even carry new stuff does he??

    CK-

I would be pretty interested in any PSA 10ish looking Nolan Ryan #250 or PSA 10ish looking Steve Lombardozzis (Twins, dont know card#).

Tell Matt, Matt, and Koufax that Jeff the Heritage / PSA messageboard writeup guy said hi.
  • As expected, the Mike Schmidts were off center top to bottom.

Bob Pattersons and Will Clark were o/c left to right.

Pete O'Brien was the end card of the sets which is like being th bottom card of a wax pack. This card was always dinged or had surface damage.

I mostly struck out on the cards you all wanted but got some nice Angels and a few good stars.
