Interesting statement about shipping....

Was going through some Ebay auctions and came across this statement about shipping charges in an auction I was watching.

"I do not combine shipping on lots. If my shipping and handling charges seem excessive I factor in eBay fees, PayPal fees, mailing material, my time in putting lots together, and most lots are worth much more than they sell for."

First of all, aren't cards only worth as much as somebody pays for them? and second, he plainly says he is making money off of shipping because the cards don't bring as much as he wants.
His shipping rates were $4-$5 per auction, which is a little high, but if you win more than one auction, wow, would that get expensive.

He does not sell many multiple lots then I can assure you.
