repairking

I bought a garrett 250. It was to hot here in TX. to go out. Went out a couple of times and got tic bitten & chiggers all over. Waiting for cooler weather. Any suggestons where to go looking?

There's so many, It's almost impossible to list them all
But here's some:

ghost towns
beaches
old homesteads
former fair/carnival locations
old churches
playgrounds
sports fields
farms
lakesides
along sidewalks
around trees (many people durring the depression burried their valuables here as a place marker)
dirt driveways
and even in your own backyard

There are many books available on the topic. A favorite of mine is Where to Find Treasure, by Dick Stout. I think it's out of print now though. I just checked Whites's website (they're another metal detector manufacturer and they publish metal detecting books and I didn't see it anymore, it used to be there. Check Ebay or Amazon for it. Good luck with your new detector and finding treasure with it.
