Doesn't reading Coin World on the subway sort of scream mug me?

I never carry anything that indicates I'm a coin collector. When at the larger shows where name badges are
used, I always take them off before leaving the building.

    On the NYC subway nonetheless...

For safety reasons, do not imitate that person's behavior.

  • Sometimes I think you folks may be a little too cautious. Reading CW on the subway makes you less of a mark than reading the Wall Street Journal in my eyes. If I mug a CW reader I might get lucky and find that he hasn't yet got to the coin shop to trade that wad of cash for a new proof IHC. What am I gonna do with a proof IHC? I'm a mugger! If the WSJ reader doesn't have much cash I can make off with his bank card or at least those silly Bruno Maglis...

BTW: I'm just role playing here. I've never mugged anybody.
