Kelloggs Experts- How Do I keep my cards from cracking??

Hi-
I have a bunch of '71 kelloggs football cards I just bought. Each had a slight curl in the bottom but nothing major!! When the cards came they arrived in 9 pocket pages that were lose fitting. Since that time I have taken them out and put them in card saver 2's for shipping to psa. I took a look at my stack tonight and 5 of the cards have cracked since going into the card savers ( including a cherry Unitas that now has 2 small cracks).. I'm really pissed!! I'm scared to send them off to psa as I feel they are sure to crack in shipping.. I'm looking for some advice on what to do??? I've had 14 of the 60 crack since getting the set and I bought it with only one cracked card.. ( 9 cracked during shipping) And I have been awfully careful... Help... Hope to hear from some of you kelloggs studs on this one.

  • This is tough, since they have to be transferred at some point to the card savers. Sounds like you've run across a batch that maybe had less than ideal storage over a long period, and are now simply prone to crack. I'm not sure what others do, but I use Card Saver I's, which seem to be somewhat less rigid and have more room. Perhaps that may help some. Otherwise, I can only offer empathy.
