The Mutoscopes and American Beauties are pretty cool. I like the Sea Raiders a lot and the '32 Caramel Presidents.A sentimental favorite is the '70 Odder Odd Rods, but my all time favorite is the explorer set. Mark, what is the ACC designation for that one?

Always looking for N690 Kalamazoo Bats and Newsboy Cabinets

  • Well, I prefer cards that remind my of my childhood, which started about 1977 when I was 10 and got my first gum cards strait from packs....

My favorite sets to collect are:

    1. 1977 Star Wars (Topps Mexico #1-66)
    2. 1977 Star Wars (Topps U.K., #1-66, #1-66A)
    3. 1977 Star Wars (O-PEE-CHEE, #1-264)

Anthony, you're right - the American Beauties set definitely belongs on the list, as well as the US Caramel set. I had never seen the Sea Raiders until I came on these boards, but it is a fabulous looking set and extremely difficult to find in top condition. The World's Greatest Explorers set is T118 and, according to Forbes, some people don't consider the set complete without the T30 Arctic Scenes set.

  • Some of the early e cards are really nice looking as well. They are very hard to find in decent condition. These are from e50 set.

Well, then, you would have to add the '57 Topps Zorro set to the list as well.

I just wish I still had my coonskin cap. That thing was so cool.

  • I didn't want to push my luck, but the Zorro set is right there also! There was a guy at the National that had the greatest Crockett stuff. While we are at it, the TV Westerns set was pretty cool as well. I see that many of the shows have been released on DVD. I'm hoping for "Have Gun Will Travel" for Christmas!

Along with the coonskin cap, I had one of these cards also; I think it was the colored one but I'm not sure:
