Muhammad Ali UD Master Collection

I've been looking to pick up one of these to add to the PC for a while now, and finally stumbled across one. I'm completely unable to find any kind of sales data on these, so I figured I'd ask those more informed than myself. If anyone knows of any recent sales of cracked sets, I'd appreciate any info you could give me. The mystery card in the set in question was a robe/auto out of 50. As far as I've been able to tell, none have hit the bay in the past 2 years. As a matter of fact, the only single I've seen on the bay is the auto/50 BGS graded 9.5 that's currently up. If anyone even knows the original MSRP, that would be a giant help. I've been told that it MSRP'd at the same price as the Yankees Master Set, which I believe was $5,000, but my source isn't exactly the most credible. Thanks in advance for any help.

I don't remember the close price for certain, but I did see the Ali/Robe auto about a year ago on the bay. It was in it's last few minutes (since that's how I do 90% of my searches) and it was at either $1300 or $1600. I don't know if the auction jumped a bunch in the last couple of minutes though...

Don't know if that's really any help, but thought I would post it.

  • If memory serves, the Bulls and Lakers sets were more expensive due to the signed jersey's of Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant respectively. The Montana set included a signed mini helmet and I'm not sure what was in the Gretzky set. The others, as far as I know, only had cards.

Nope. The 1965 Lampo Cassius Clay is regarded by most as his RC.
