I am glad i do not invest my money in any of this new crap!! Personally i don't believe there is this much game used clothing out on the market to be cut up into 1 inch squares. I know a few pro ball players of which one plays for the Angels. I called him tonight and asked him how many uniforms he has hanging in his closet. His reply was his "minor league" uniform and two home Angel Jerseys and 1 road Angel Jersey, and 1 pr of pants home and away. IMO everyone is being conned into believing this stuff is "game used, worn, whatever". There is no way to prove any of the vintage items were ever worn, used.

Your friend is probably one of the few people that only carry one shirt then. Most of the higher profile athletes (Arod, etc) have been known to change up to three shirts per game to get more GU jerseys on the market. Gaylord Perry and Pete Rose would change every inning to get more cash in their pockets for their game used equipment. Tony Gwynn was selling off each bat used in his chase to 3,000 hits, with the hit number and his autograph on each one. There is more of this stuff floating around than you want to believe.........

I love it. I actuallly have seen a Vick with an NFL logo patch that the guy tried convincing me he pulled, and that Julius Jones was at the National. I'm happy to see them cracking down on these guys. If you actually did pull a nice patch out of a product, half the people would think you faked it and the other half wouldn't be willing to give any premium on it so they could try and make a profit. I like the patch cards personally, but there was way too much faking, I don't know how they stop that though.

Make them tamper resistent with boobie traps built in the card. Once the exacto knife touches the patch...BOOOM! You could always spot the guys who fake patches by their knubby remains of fingers, it would also prevent them from typing out their scam auctions. Or even better- built in grizzly bears for protection...
