Impulse buy, Persian ancient coin

ajaanajaan Posts: 17,454 ✭✭✭✭✭
Bought this ancient coin today at a show. I know the dealer who was selling it and talked to him for a while. Feeling bad to take up his time, I bought this coin. Any information, such as value, is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I would guess it is worth $50 or $70, but I can assure you it is not worth $60. I'll offer you $20 plus .50c for shipping.

Well, if as we always say, it's worth what you're willing to pay for it, I'd say $60 is fair image

And, though you may have already seen this site, I'll take the opportunity to link to one of the best Sasanid reference sites online (no pricing info though): sasanian empire

Nice style. Decent strike. Aethelred's got it about pegged price wise. If the reverse is nice I'd probably shoot for about $75.00.
