KELLOGGS collectors: Cracked in holder?

I was recently doing inventory on my kelloggs sets and noticed that a card was cracked inside the PSA holder. I know it wasn't that way when i purchased it, and all my cards are carefully stored. Thankfully, It was only a 1976 George Scott PSA 9 card. That won't cost much to replace. I can only imagine what the crime scene would look like if that had happened on a 1971 HOFer that cost some bucks!

Has anyone had a kelloggs card do this to them?
Look forward to your replies!

    Robert-
Assume they'll say it's graded accurately on this one too, and no buyback!

It happened to me on one ('72 Kellogg's All-Time Greats Speaker PSA 8). I didn't bother contacting PSA - instead I purchased a 9 and sent the cracked 8 to another board member's son.

No problems with my 1973 Kelloggs imageimage

This is one reason I stopped collecting multiples of players. Except if I get them at a great price.

Of course it's graded correctly. The standards for a 9 don't even mention cracks. image

    MINT 9: Mint.

A PSA Mint 9 is a superb condition card that exhibits only one of the following minor flaws: a very slight wax stain on reverse, a minor printing imperfection or slightly off-white borders. Centering must be approximately 60/40 to 65/35 or better on the front and 90/10 or better on the reverse.

  • Wait a minute, that Palmer has been here before many times image. Every time someone asks about K-Kracking we get the Palmer. Anyway it's extremely rare and only happens to those who don't truly love their Kellogg's image.

  • Just think how you would feel if you paid 17k for this card and it cracked:

I actually tried to buy this Clemente on ebay tonight (without success), but based on this thread maybe it would not have been a good idea.
  • How come the Koolaid don't spill out of his head when he does that?

There's always room for Kellogg's image
  • you cannot subject these cards to cool temperatures, keep them in a warm attic and they will stay intact.
