  • I personnaly think that they sucked all the life out of this board when they changed the rules and said we could no longer sell coins here. For God's Sake, that is what this board was started for and since we can't do that any more, WHY ARE WE HERE?????

This is simply my 2 CENTS worth!image

I agree. Might just as well shut it down. Or better yet make it a Buy/Sell Board for Top Pop/Low Pop coins. Then maybe it would have a purpose again and be fun to see.

The buy and sell portion got eliminated once some of the bigger ego's (Dealers) kept abusing it.

  • This use to be the place to hang out but now R.I.P.!
  • Since dime folks keep this board alive before, how about some Roosie collectors starting anew. I'll start, having just finished my Lincoln Memorial Set and my birthyear set I've started on FB Roosevelt dimes. And since I'm a letter carrier (USN Retired - Bubblehead) I call my sets Postman's set .... Bobimageimage

Dicky you must read and comprehend. This is a reason why the forum has went downhill. Some people could not read and comprehend what the rules were so a higher up person had to step in and make the rules very clear.

Fairlaneman: With all do respect, this issue was addressed by PCGS several times over several years and selling was ALWAYS allowed on this forum by PCGS. PCGS then CHANGED the rules and disallowed selling. To now reinterpret the original description to say it meant only discussing selling, not actual selling, not only makes no sense, it is down right false.

With that said, it is hard to disagree that PCGS’s decision killed this forum. What I find unfortunate is that there is now no place specifically set up to buy and sell high grade/low Pop coins.

    Because the privilege was abused.

Sad, but true. Repeat abuses are too time consuming for CU to continuously monitor and delete specifically, so it was made a blanket rule.

I would like to see a forum for selling coins that does not include auctions. An area that members can sell to other members. If you want to place something on an auction site then you are free to do so just do not advertise in the forums. What do you think? Maybe an auction forum and a FSH Only forum.......

I sure enjoy hanging out here. I don't care what the various subjects are at a given time: "hot topics", "image threads", "flame threads" or whatever is going on in the moment... I've learned a tremendous amount in a short period of time. Keep it up guys and gals!!!image
