how long on 1st class mail?

I sent something from Los Angeles to TX on 10-27-05, and the item had still not been delivered as of 11-4-05. The delivery confirmation doesn't show anything at all. Anyone else had 1st class take over 7 days??
Running an Ebay store sure takes a lot more time than a person would think!

    Just about 2 months ago, I had a bubble wrap envelope mailed via First Class mail take 20 days to get to me. The sender purchased delivery confirmation so i could tell that he was being straight up when he said he mailed it weeks ago.

    Occasionally, this has happened to me - but the item always turns up. Just wondering also if maybe the area you sent it to (Texas) might still be experiencing slow mail due to the hurricanes?

    good point about the hurricanes. It's to zip code 75065, but I would have to go back to see what the city is.

    Mail seems really slow right now going from anywhere to anywhere. I sent out a card to someone in PA on Monday (from Boston, MA), and it still hasn't arrived.

    I recently had a FA envelope reach me in 21 days.......
