Good price for an already slabbed coin.

I see this Prussian 10M coin very often in grades from 65 to 68, I wonder how big is the hoard they discovered. This and the Russian 1902 5 roubles.

    Nice score and coin anyway.

The majority of the gold coins which are available in high grade in these days were part of the "Reichskriegsschatz" (war treasure).
Those 120 Million Goldmark were hoarded in the Julius-tower of the fortress Spandau.

The hoard consisted of 5 Million 20 Mark coins and 2 Million 10 Mark coins.

The Reichskriegsschatz was doubled in 1913 to a value of 240.000.000 Mark before its dissolution in 1914.

However, Andy's coin wasn't part of that hoard, because the oldest coins which were part of that gold reserve were minted in 1873.

I have often wondered about the 'hoard coins' I've seen offered, like I should know what the hoard was, and now I do! Thank you Udo image.
