That's a beaut- well preserved for a ground find.

We find some nice copper down here in SE Coastal GA sometimes, too.

(I say "we", usually meaning my buddies and not me.)

I wonder why I cannot find places like that in Georgia. I have searched high and low for places that would yield such treasures. I think that I may need to get that new detector so I can go deeper. -Dan

Love that Bust...Very cool finds. My coppers are usually corroded like crazy after coming out of a field. The good ones usually come out of Cellar Holes.

I've read Ed Fedory's books, and y'all's cellar holes sound like exciting places.

With a few exceptions, there's no such thing as a seller down here in the Lowcountry- you'd have a sinkhole!
