October '70s Special: Turnaround times?

Submitted 11 cards on the October 1970s Collectors' Special and PSA entered them into the pipeline on October 19. Grades haven't popped yet. Was wondering what turnarounds anyone else has experienced with this Special. Thanks for any info you may share.

I'm patiently waiting on mine, which have an October 12 entry date.
  • I will got shot for posting this...but mine got there Thursday 10-27 and grades posted yesterday 11-01. Loved the grades too.

I'm curious to know as well, I just sent in my submission so I'm in no hurry. The last few specials they've run have been really good with turnaround times, at least my luck was good.

    Todd,

Your sub was for the $5 '70s Special with no guaranteed turnaround time (not the $12 generic Collectors' Special with a 5-day-turnaround)? What did you submit and what were those grades, if you don't mind me asking? I always like to see posts of grades that people love...
  • Yessirree, it was the $5 Celebrating the 70's October Special. Got a '74 Topps PSA 9 Ryan out of the bunch. Lots of stuff from my sets and player collections. Here you go Paleo:

That's a helluva sub, Todd, congrats! You must have a great eye. Perhaps your's was moved to the head of the queue because of its large size (146 cards)? Just wondering...
  • Thanks Paleo. Actually, it was 169 cards. I doubt I'd ever make Master Grader, but I kept a spreadsheet of my guesses this time and compared it to the actual grades. Does anybody else ever do this? Only 6 out of 169 didn't grade at my guess or higher.

Got my 70s special ( about 45 cards ) in around a month.

Just got my 50s special ( just over 200 cards ) in a slightly quicker turnaround time.

I sent mine out on the 31st and it has not yet entered the system. I had 183 cards so I hope they speed along bigger submissions.image

Awesome grades Todd. (6) 76 Carlton 9's. And that Franco Harris is sweet too. Those 71's are tough and I have found the 71 FB's to be tougher than he11 too. I sent in about 30 and am hoping for a 9 somewhere.

I had a two day turn around time on mine. Insanely fast. It probably helped that my order was rather small (38 cards) and was all 78 Topps cards.
