were these heavily counterfited?, guy walk into my coffee shop today with one on a small envelope with one he inherited from his father...Coin just didnt feel right in hand, were gonna try to weigh it...

    Don't believe any stories. These are being extensively counterfeited in Asia.

    Absolutely, but most of them don't look right, such as a scowl instead of a smile.

    I also noticed the uneven reeding on the surface edges, this one was like that too

    Genuine bust dollars are not reeded, rather they have a lettered edge. Clearly a counterfeit.

    What you call "uneven reeding" on the surface edge of Barry's coin are called "denticles".

    Like tjkillian said,bust dollars have a lettered edge.
