were these heavily counterfited?, guy walk into my coffee shop today with one on a small envelope with one he inherited from his father...Coin just didnt feel right in hand, were gonna try to weigh it...

Absolutely, but most of them don't look right, such as a scowl instead of a smile.

Genuine bust dollars are not reeded, rather they have a lettered edge. Clearly a counterfeit.

I think he was meaning the dentils.
What you call "uneven reeding" on the surface edge of Barry's coin are called "denticles".
Like tjkillian said,bust dollars have a lettered edge.
