I think this is a wonderful idea, but as Ray has some many friends here, I think it should be done for the "Any Soldier" My older brother and I both served during the 1st Gulf War and my step-brother in Irag last year. There were guys in my outfit and I'm sure in my brothers that got absolutely nothing for the holidays from family. My step-brother even had a couple of folks whose own parents wouldn't even send them anything because they were opposed to the war. We(my family and I) got a bunch of stuff together(portable CD players, CDs, batteries, toiletries, and other small ticket items) and boxed it up and shipped it over. You wouldn't believe the number of GIs that sent us thank you cards.
Just a thought.............but I will definately be happy to join in.
