I think Topps is still debating... hockey or WNBA!? Hmmmmmmmm..... image
  • As it stands right now, Upper Deck is the only NHL/NHLPA license holder. That doesn't seem likely to change for this season.

Did Bill Gates purchase UD? UD has the monopoly this year for NHL products.
They're going to make a butt load of cash.
Whether that's good or bad; time will tell.

I'm surprised ITG didn't get approved for licensing for 2005-06

  • I'm not much of a modern collector, but I think it sucks that ITG has been shut out. I know they are desperately trying to get their licenses back. In the meantime, they will be doing another year of Heroes & Prospects. Does anyone know why their licenses were canceled in the first place?

This just in: Upper Deck will be producing hockey cards under the Fleer name this year. LINK

Looks like Fleer is far from dead in every sport.
  • hockey is almost dead in the SoCal area. I know three shops that are no longer going to carry hockey at all, and they didn't have that much to begin with. Not sure if hockey cards will survive on the west coast.
Running an Ebay store sure takes a lot more time than a person would think!
