only obverse picture - what grade range would you guess? do you think it has been cleaned?

It looks like it still has some luster. It looks EF40-AU55+.

All I can say is I hope you have the ability to return it, the pic is too compressed and there could be some suprises in the right field.

I agree that there is considerable compression and that this makes interpreting the image near impossible. I will guesstimate that the coin was cleaned and that is why it appears to shiny in the image.

If you rolled the dice, were you hoping for a 7 or a pair of 5's? I say it all depends what your expectations are. We all know it isn't a 66, but maybe you're looking for a nice circulated coin for your Dansco....................It does looked cleaned, IMO.

The dark look around the stars to the right, worries me.

It's not a bad-looking coin to take a gamble on, but you never know what the compression is hiding or what the reverse looks like. Still I see nice hints of protected luster in the field at 12:00 and 6:00 - my WAG is that it's a decent enough coin, not scrubbed clean, but you'll probably have either some wiping lines, or very likely album slidemarks.

If you didn't pay too much, could be OK. Good luck!

agree with others, photo is unclear, but If not cleaned then it should at least 53. Course if the cleaning is not bad enough, several of the tpg's would still holder it anyway??
