Grades in from ANACS at Whitman Coin Show

I dropped off seven coins at the Whitman Coin Show with ANACS for grading. I had no preconceived ideas about what the grades should be but really wanted the encapsulation for protection of the gold and as an "educational" reference for me on the others.
I was a little surprised that they came back in less than a month.
1908 $ 20 Saint (No Motto) MS64
1914-S $ 20 Saint AU55
1908 $ 10 EF45 details - cleaned Bought long ago from a "vest pocket" dealer
1910 $ 2.50 AU55 details - cleaned "
1881-O Morgan $ MS63
1876-S Trade $ EF40
1827 Bust Dime VF20
I accumulated all these over the course of the last 30 or so years. I have come back to the hobby and these have been languishing in the safe deposit box, so since TPG's are a new concept for me, I thought I'd send these in. I'm pleased with the result. I think after I finish the Liberty Nickel and Walking Liberty albums, I'll just collect TPG coins from here on, because I definitely see the value of a professional opinion on grade.

knowing one was much finer than the other?
hm, TPGs just allowed newbies like me to get more coin for their money and
give me a hands on idea of grading in action for me to learn from.
authenticity and protection are probably the two biggest factors most enjoy.
what coin are you pleased the most with? that trade dollar must be nice to look at.
the 1908 saint should really be impressive too.
I was a little surprised about the $10 and the $ 2.50 being cleaned - I had no idea - they're just like I got them about 25 years ago. I'll have to look closely to see how they could tell. Maybe I'll ask at the next show.
The trade dollar I got from a pawn shop (!!!) client about 10 years ago. It was sitting raw in their display case and I told the owner I'd swap some tax work for the coin. No chop marks.
My favorite is the bust dime. It's really pretty - the background is a fairly unirom dark gray and the features are real clear. When I looked at Photograde I guessed between VF and XF.
But like I say, I had no firm opinion about what the grades would be.
