do you have to use poly bags to submit coins?

I'm submiting to anacs (about 100 coins)

i don't have the "poly bags " they speak of...

can i use 2 x 2 card board flips ...if they are scotch taped? yes? no?

if i must use poly bags ...is there a suitable generic that i can buy at the office supply store?


any help is appreciated.

I don't know if the poly bag is required, but I always use them to keep from scratching the coin on the flip. Anacs sells a submission kit that includes the poly bags.....see link...........Rick

I submit to everyone, including anacs, with the coin in a mylar saflip, no bag. They're OK with that. After the warnings here about poly bags, I checked all my stored coins, and sure enough, some of my bu red wheats had little dark specks. Didn't have any silver stored in them. I don't think they want to receive them in 2x2's Mike, but I could be wrong.

Go with the mylar saflips.

My coins would come back with a blue haze when I would use the bags.

I concur with the others, just submit in 2.5 X 2.5 SAFlips. There have been numerous stories about poly bags hazing up proof coins, so I would not take a chance using them on ANY coin.

You can get a submission kit from ANACS that has 100 bags and 100 flips. I don't remember how much they are but it isn't much.
