1955 Canada cent strap/strapless?...ANSWERED with Pics

I have a 1955 Canadian cent I plucked from my change and never could find out if it was a strap or strapless variety.
I took a scan of the shoulder.

Here's a Bigger Picture
This is the highest resolution scan I can take.
Are there any Canadian variety experts or sites I can go to?

Thanks in advance.

Edited to add image below. The coin isn't the best but I'm trying to learn what "strap" means.

  • The scan is too big for me to determine if it is NSF or SF.
Could you please post a picture of the whole coin?

CCRS is a very useful website about Canadian coins.

  • Looks to me that the 2 horizontal lines near the center of the pic are indication of the strap.

  • Thanks Numismatics for the link I searched and found others with my question they suggested looking at the denticles and the lettering...

Note the flared letters; and the "I" in "DEI" points between two denticiles; whereas the shoulder fold obverse it points at a denticle.

I know believe that this is the strap variety making it worth maybe twice face value.image

Thanks for the help and quick response.

I added a full picture to my original post.
