LOL A couple weeks ago I used my pinpointer to find a stud. Doesn't work very well, but I was able to find a couple screws and draw a line between them.
Pinpointers are not much more than glorified stud finders anyhow. I think they might come in handy for scanning dirt piles and such ... Not sure how useful or sensitive they'd be trying to pinpoint a penny in a 8 inch hole though.
